Masako Kawazoe successfully placed Mr. Eugene Wada as ITP Strategic's new Sales & Marketing Manager recently. She spoke to Eugene and Mr. Shoji Dambara, ITP's President & CEO, about why they decided to work together.
Mr. Dambara, why did you decide to hire Eugene?
Our client, Toyota, has very high expectations. In order to fulfill their needs, we needed to hire someone who is knowledgeable, reliable, and responsible. Eugene fit those requirements. He previously worked at an automobile dealership, where he delivered on his promises and kept his clients happy. His dealership experience allows him to see things from the dealer's perspective and it helps ITP understand what our end users really want. Also, as a product manager at Honda, Eugene has a perspective from an OEM corporate point of view as well. I decided to hire him because of these qualifications.
Eugene, why did you decide to take the opportunity at ITP?
The position at ITP integrates all of my previous experiences. I have sold cars at an automobile dealership, developed products at an automotive manufacturer, and developed e-business solutions and strategies at an automotive price publisher. At this position, I can utilize my whole experience in the automotive industry and apply it to understand our customers; both OEM manufacturer and automobile dealerships. This position allows me to go back to my sales roots. The sales process isn't routine work, it's different everyday and challenging. Selling excites me!
